Hey Beautiful Charter House People! ¶

Hey there, my favorite Charter House crew!
It’s been 2 years now since I left Devon Properties and Starlight managing Charter House and many more buildings... and I have to say that even considering the difficult times with the construction, it was a real pleasure to be your neighbour and help ensure you guys were treated with respect as much as I could. However, I know it wasn’t always perfect or up to our standards of living, especially when it comes to quietness and noises for such a long time.
But here’s the silver lining we’ve all been waiting for: thanks to Paul (our resident hero with the paperwork superpowers... but very busy!), we now have a way to make our voices heard and get compensated for all the headaches these renovations caused. British Columbia law is pretty clear on this stuff, major renos that mess with your peaceful enjoyment, block access to facilities, or straight-up vanish the yard? Tenants are entitled to a fair shake (rent reductions, damages, the works).
Many of your neighbours are seeking, and will receive, compensation for the Loss of Quiet Enjoyment, Loss of Access to Facilities, and Termination of a Service or Facility (the yard). Don’t miss out on what the Act very clearly indicates you are entitled to. Join your neighbour’s, both to support them and to receive your due.
I really miss you all from the bottom of my heart, there isn’t enough honey in the beehives to explain and show how much I appreciated my time with you guys.
Thanks for the memories, the laughs, and the resilience. Keep making that building legendary. Cheers!
Chris J.
